1. Information We Collect
Account details: your name, mobile number, email and district you provide during registration or profile edits.
Verification documents: Aadhaar or Driving Licence number, submitted only when required for KYC before bidding.
Activity data: bids placed, auctions viewed, wishlist items, and payment records for entry fees and balance amounts.
Location: only if you choose "Use Current Location" to find auctions near you — never collected in the background.
2. How We Use Your Information
To let you register, verify your identity, place bids, and pay auction entry fees.
To process vehicle ownership transfer with the RTO through the Parivahan VAHAN portal after a successful purchase.
To send you auction updates, payment confirmations, and notices from sellers relevant to your district.
To detect and prevent fraudulent bidding or duplicate accounts.
3. Data Security
Identity documents (Aadhaar/PAN/DL) are stored with AES-256 encryption at rest.
All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit (TLS). Card and UPI details you enter during payment are sent directly to the payment gateway — Min-elam never stores your card number or CVV.
Access to citizen data within the department is restricted to authorised officials on a need-to-know basis.
4. Who We Share Data With
The Regional Transport Office (RTO), via the Parivahan VAHAN portal, to process ownership transfer after a completed sale.
The payment gateway, solely to process your auction entry fee — no marketing or advertising partners.
Your district auction administrator, limited to the details needed to run the auction you’re participating in.
We do not sell citizen data to any third party.
5. Data Retention
Bidding, payment and transfer records are retained for audit and legal purposes.
You can request deletion of non-mandatory profile details (such as your saved address) at any time from Edit Profile.
6. Your Rights
You can view and update your name, email, address and district anytime from Profile → Edit Profile Details.
You can request a copy of your data, or raise a correction or grievance, by contacting the address below.
