1. Eligibility & Registration
You must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid Indian mobile number to register on Min-elam.
One citizen account is permitted per mobile number. Bidding requires a valid photo ID (Aadhaar or Driving Licence) on file for KYC verification.
2. Entry Fee
Each monthly auction pool has a one-time entry fee, shown on the auction page before payment. Paying it issues you a bidder token for that pool and lets you bid on every vehicle in it.
The entry fee is non-refundable and is not adjusted against the vehicle price. It covers your entry to that pool only; a new pool needs a new entry.
Property and gold sales have a one-time platform fee, shown before you register, which works the same way. The EMD you pay on each lot is separate: it belongs to the seller's sale and is refunded if you do not win.
3. Bidding Rules
Every bid you place is a binding offer and cannot be withdrawn once submitted.
Bids placed in the final minutes may extend the lot’s closing time (anti-sniping) to give all bidders a fair chance to respond.
The highest valid bid at closing wins the lot, subject to the reserve price set by the seller.
4. Payment and Collection
The winning bidder pays the balance of the winning bid to the seller that ran the auction, as its sale terms say — within 48 hours of the lot closing for vehicles.
Failure to pay within this window cancels the winning bid; the vehicle may be offered to the next highest bidder or re-listed, and the account may be restricted from future auctions.
5. Vehicle Condition
All vehicles are sold on an "as-is, where-is" basis. Inspection reports shown in the app are provided for guidance and are not a guarantee of condition.
Bidders are encouraged to review the inspection report and, where offered, the physical inspection yard details before bidding.
6. Ownership Transfer
After the balance is paid in full, the seller initiates the Registration Certificate (RC) transfer through the Parivahan VAHAN portal.
Transfers are typically completed within 14 business days. Applicable RTO transfer fees and road tax, if any, are the buyer’s responsibility.
7. Cancellations & Forfeiture
The seller may pause, reschedule or cancel an auction for administrative or legal reasons; if a pool is cancelled before bidding opens, the entry fee paid for it is returned.
Repeated non-payment after winning may result in the account being restricted from future auctions.
8. Disputes & Governing Law
All e-Auctions conducted on Min-elam are governed by the auction rules published by the seller running the pool.
Any disputes arising from a transaction on this platform are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in Chennai.
9. Changes to These Terms
These terms may be revised periodically to reflect changes in policy or law. Continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
